May Day. Even in the darkest of years, the flowers bloom, the sun appears, the pollen flies…It’s Bandcamp Friday and new releases from Edward Ka-Spel and Orbit Service as well as a plethora of ‘Test Pressing ‘ editions are on display. As I type, the latter seem to have already vanished but there will be a small addition later today…
2026 and we made it to May Day but the sound of the alarm will not stop. On a personal level it has been a challenging year with a persistent ear infection casting a long shadow over the early months. Thankfully, when it finally cleared up, there was a lot to address musically and the new solo album “ Hallucinating Happy Land “ is the sound of a genie shattering an overheated lamp, and wafting its way over the horizon. I’m proud of this one…
