Today sees the beginning of an attempt to resurrect the nuggets from deepest history as so much of the early catalogue is unavailable in physical format. First titles set to re-emerge on CD are ‘Brighter Now’ and ‘Faces in the Fire’ ( both expanded) and, from the Edward Ka-Spel solo catalogue, ’Red Letters ‘ and ‘Khataclimici China Doll’. Discs will be manufactured while covers will be lovingly homemade, mostly remaining faithful to the original artwork (‘Laugh China Doll’ will be the exception here as the cover was an image ripped from a library book by the label owner without the artist’s approval. It really deserved better treatment). Still more to come! The new CDs will be available later in October when I’m back from the Tear Garden tour. –EK

Out of print for around 20 years on CD, it felt like the perfect moment to revive this small monument ( with 2 bonus tracks too!) . Artwork is faithful to the original release and initial run will be just 99 copies. If the demand is there then a small re-press will be arranged. Professionally manufactured discs with a cover faithful to Stephan’s original artwork.
