Wroclaw, Poland. A cold November morning but hyped up for the Pink Dots’ show at the impressive Industrial Music Festival .
The Tear Garden tour finished just a month ago, yet now it’s a case of re-learning the words and moves of the set we toured almost 20 months ago. Consequently the 2 hour flight was filled with head rehearsing, lots of repetition and intense concentration. It just has to be good – this is literally the finale of a collection of songs we all love. It’s also Poland …… been way too long!
Incidentally, today is Bandcamp Friday. A necessarily quiet one, but I’m happy to announce the imminent reissue on CD of ‘The Tower’, the final piece in this first wave of enticing the Dots’ oldest recordings to step down from the Cloud and become tangible once more. It’s at the pressing plant now and can be accessed here.
