Introducing Witch Cat Distribution

Hey friends, Johnny Wohlfahrt of Witch Cat Records has been working with Edward Ka-Spel to have a little merch hub here in the states to help keep shipping costs down for folks in the US.

“Excited to announce Witch Cat Distribution. There’s quite a bit of merch from The Legendary Pink Dots, Edward Ka-Spel, Orbit Service, The Silverman, and The Tear Garden. While I can ship worldwide, this site was set up to help combat shipping costs to the US. A lot of these items have only been available from the Dots HQ and international shipping costs are beyond ridiculous.

(Please note, most of the merch pics are place holders. I’ll be updating them over the next couple weeks.)”

Bandcamp Friday- December 2022

This month’s offering includes Edward Ka-Spel’s The Random Time Machine / Dark Window Wave, combined for a 78 minute CDR release. Both titles are part of the “The Quarantine Series” and both date from 2021. Available on Edward Ka-Spel’s, or The Legendary Pink Dots’ Bandcamp pages.

Meanwhile, over at Orbit Service’s page, Randall has created a discount code for 50% off of everything in the shop. Code expires Friday at midnight UTC..

Here ya go: dec2022

And a new book!…

Close Your Eyes You Can Be A Space Captain

Despite being in existence for over 40 years, The Legendary Pink Dots have never had so much written about them. It’s partly our own fault (The Dots are perpetually skeptical about ‘promotion’), but the fact remains that the band has almost defiantly remained ‘underground’.

Even so, I’m delighted to announce the publication of a new book today. Penned by long-term friend and fellow traveller Freek Kinkelaar, “Close Your Eyes, You Can Be A Space Captain” firmly focusses on the first decade of The Dots , featuring many interviews and reminiscences of those who were there (including your humble narrator) and a cd where favourite songs are highlighted as well as a couple of exclusive nuggets.

The book is published by Korm Plastics.
