Originally released in 2010, a new reissue of Red Sky At Night on CDR is available as a limited edition of 199.  This lovingly made CDR will ship out after the conclusion of the North American tour, on or around November 28.

This represents a collection of sessions featuring Edward and Alena, recorded over the last two years (2008-2010).  Locations were Karis in Finland, where Alena lived for some time, and Limburgia in the Netherlands.

Instruments used include: electric church organ, percussion, laptops, analog and digital synthesisers.”

A chapter closes and another begins as Phil – The Silverman – has decided to retire from live performances with the Pink Dots, while our long term friend, Randall, is joining the band. In reality it’s a story we’ve known for many months inside The Dots as we plan for our first long tour since early 2022, but it was the sheer physical demand of such an adventure that led to Phil making his decision.

Do wish Phil well in his choice of a path – it’s been a glorious four decades.

Randall is no stranger to life on the road with The Pink Dots having opened with his own project, Orbit Service, on many tours ( and he will be delivering a set on the forthcoming outing). Still, we’re excited to welcome an old friend into the band, composing new music with him as well as exploring some new corners of the planet together.

As Autumn skies make things a little darker, we’re happy to embrace the return of “Bandcamp Friday”. Two fresh homemade CD-R are currently being prepared as this missive is being typed.

The Legendary Pink Dots’ summer sale on Bandcamp has just been extended to the coming Bandcamp Friday on September 2nd.

This sale is to raise funds for the upcoming U. S. tour.  Many digital releases which had a set price are temporarily available as ‘name your price (with no minimum)’.  A number of physical releases are also temporarily discounted.

It’s been a long long wait but finally ‘Chemical Playschool Volumes 21 & 22 ‘ on vinyl has been pressed. Around 100 to send out from Europe so we do ask just that little extra patience as it will need 2-3 weeks to get them all on their way. Even so, a big thank you for all the patience everyone has shown already over the last 15 months… it has been deeply appreciated!
