Two remastered early albums now available

Newly remastered, Curse and Island of Jewels are now available in digital, CD and double vinyl formats with the vinyl as a limited edition of 500 copies.  Beware, the LPs are almost sold out.

Both releases include extra songs that were not on the original release from the 80s. Click on the albums below for all the details.

See it Alone- a collaboration

“Sorry For Laughing” is the solo project of Gordon Whitlow, who has been part of the Biota collective for four decades. I followed his work since the beginning, so when he approached me to collaborate on a project involving dusty old hammond organs, a wheezy old accordion and various string driven things, I had no hesitation in shouting a loud “YES!!” As the project progressed , the idea arose of inviting Martyn Bates (Eyeless In Gaza) to join, who is another artist I’ve admired on a creative and personal level since the dawn of the Dots.

When violinist extraordinaire, Patrick Q.Wright is added to the mix, as well as interjections from Kiyoharu Kuwayama, Janet Feder and Nigel Whitlow, then a thing of serious beauty became inevitable.

Two remastered albums for pre-order

Slated for release on July 16th, pre-orders can be made for Curse and Island of Jewels.

Both newly remastered albums will soon be available in digital, CD and double vinyl formats with the vinyl as a limited edition of 500 copies.  Please use the linked images below for detailed information on the album, shipping and placing an order.

Curse

Both releases include extra songs that were not on the original release from the 80s.

Curse bonus material is over both Sides 3 and 4 (or tracks 9 through 13), about 8 minutes previously unreleased and includes a fine remaster of the first version of “A Day At The Dreamies” and “Premonition 5” – all of which were in the timeframe of that album.

Island of Jewels

Island Of Jewels
Side 3 (or tracks 13 and 14) is the “Curious Guy 12/Premonition 16 ” 12″ single which always belonged to that album rather than The Lovers …it simply put history in it’s place.

Side 4 (or tracks 15-20) is mostly unreleased (or at least very rare) material including a spectacular discovery of a version of “This Could Be The End” with Julia Niblock on lead vocal.
