Bandcamp Friday- April 2023

It’s Bandcamp Friday and what seems to be a real Spring Day at last, I’m happy to present the first new release of the year. All songs were written and recorded in the last month and the title is “A Carrington Event”.  For the foreseeable future, it’s download-only.

Even so, there is a pair of physical releases too. Firstly the last of ‘The Quarantine Series‘, “Songs Of Solitude” is ready for release in a lovingly homemade CD-R edition.

Finally, the Pink Dots’ historical collection, “Come Out From The Shadows Volume 3” has been expanded with rare tracks from long out-of-print anthology , sonically enhanced , re-ordered and given a new cover. It’s also available on pre-order as a CD-R.

The Legendary Pink Dots

An expanded Come Out From The Shadows Volume 3 – The 80s as a CDR edition on The Legendary Pink Dots’ Bandcamp page

Edward Ka-Spel

Songs of Solitude as a CDR available on both the Edward Ka-Spel and The Legendary Pink Dots’ Bandcamp pages.

A new Edward Ka-Spel solo (download only) is entitled ‘A Carrington Event’ can be found on Edward Ka-Spel’s Bandcamp page.

Orbit Service

radio hypnosis, volume 1
This is a cd-r with block printed cover art, signed and limited to 40 copies.
Available on Orbit Service’s Bandcamp page.

Edward Ka-Spel solo show in Vienna

Edward Ka-Spel will perform a rare solo show at KLANG 30 in Vienna on June 9/10.  For the event, we will also have a new CD ready – Edward solo in Vienna in 1988!

Tickets for both days available by writing to: klanggalerie@aon.at

Bandcamp Friday- March 2023

The tour is finished and a new Bandcamp Friday is here. Three new releases have just been announced while we also managed to obtain the very last copies of “Come Out From The Shadows Volume 4 – Live at Lounge Ax 1994’ as double vinyl as well as the very limited 3x vinyl + cds and extras set. The 3 x cd “Maria Dimension- The Complete Recordings “ is also back in stock . Other rarities also discovered in the cupboard…

Permission To Leave The Temple / The Deep
Digital or limited edition CDR
When the entire population is given a warning that it’s dangerous to go outside then it’s important to adapt to the new reality as soon as possible. I had no idea when a veneer of normality would be there again back in 2020 when COVID claimed so many. The only way to deal with it was to create as if every day would potentially be the last. “Permission To Leave the Temple “ and “ The Deep” were among the first recordings made during that initial lockdown and it now feels like a good moment to open them up to a wider public, at least temporarily. You will also find them at edwardka-spel.bandcamp.com

A Red Winter Night’s Dream / Angel Trombones
digital or limited edition CDR
A temporary import from edwardka-spel.bandcamp.com combining two early titles from ‘The Quarantine Series’

Quantum Primitiv
digital or CD
A new project with Edward Ka-Spel , Frans De Waard ( Modelbau, Bee Queen, Korm Plastics) and Nyland (Distrl, Norn). Conceived in the midst of a global pandemic, this small adventure in sound and narration blew a gap in the dark curtains to reveal a sunny day in the empty World out there. Expect more from Dynasti in the future! The cd edition is released by the estimable Klanggalerie and can also be obtained directly from the label (www.klanggalerie.com)
