This recently released recording, found on Un Festin Sagital’s Bandcamp page, is based on an improvised session from November 2008, recorded in Chile. Richter Scale participants include Edward Ka-Spel, Phil Knight and Barry Gray of The Legendary Pink Dots and Un Festin Sagital.

This is the Second Volume of a complex story about conspiracy, magic, and spirituality. Minimal synths, guitars, syncopated rhythms that are making weird, psychedelic and transcendental noises which are of course accompanied by the distinctive voice of Ka-Spel. Lying on your sofa, pumping up the volume and just dream away on their ethereal sounds. 10 to the Power of 9 is a dark and exceptional trip into their warped and bizarre musical psyche.
A limited marbled blue-ish vinyl limited release (499 copies)

This is a followup to last year’s album, and is again a benefit for David Geest’s family. Many of the people from the first release are back, including Edward Ka-Spel, Barry Gray, Michael Marshall, and others who have played with the Dots. There are new tracks by Armchair Migraine Journey, Four Dimensional Nightmare, Mark Spybey/Randall Frasier, plus a few surprises.
The first volume, Proverbial 11, includes tracks by Edward Ka-Spel and former Dots Stret Majest Alarme, Michael Marshall, April White, and Pat White.
Sometimes you set yourself the task of putting together a newsletter and become stuck while typing the opening sentence. Where to begin? There’s just, well, so much happening in the wild World of The Legendary Pink Dots.
A carefully constructed programme of releases seems redundant now as so much seems to be coming out at the same time.
Still, if you’ll bear with me, all will be laid out in the paragraphs to come- and I sincerely hope nothing will be accidentally forgotten (like in the LAST newsletter, damn it).
Live shows are also in the pipeline , so we hope to see you in November!
