A new Edward Ka-Spel album

I’ve been keeping the news a little quiet, but today sees the release of my new solo album, ‘Tease Seize….Apply’. It’s a bit of a rollercoaster ride through the ruins of a fairground for that’s the kind of year it’s been. Even so, today I feel like raising a glass. It’s due to appear on cd in December and there’s a longer term plan for a vinyl edition if I can bear the inevitable wait. —EK

10 days to Hallowe’en, so it feels like the appropriate moment:

Hard to believe it’s October on such a glorious sunny day with the temperature predicted to soar here in London. In the big picture it is profoundly disturbing for all the obvious reasons, but I’ll take comfort in a corner of the small screen this weekend and simply enjoy the weather.

Today is also Bandcamp Friday, where the platform generously allow artists to ply their wares without taking commission. In these harder times, it really helps! Two of my solo releases from last year are appearing in tangible form today – as lovingly handmade CD-R editions.  They are “Conspiracy of Pylons” and “100 Seconds to Midnight”.

Originally released in 2012 on Rustblade, Ghost Logik has been remastered and is available in digital format with a new cover on Edward Ka-Spel’s Bandcamp page.

Ghost Logik 2– digital and limited edition CDR

Originally released in 2014, Ghost Logik 2 has been remastered and is available digitally and as a CDR with a new cover, on both Edward Ka-Spel’s and The Legendary Pink Dots’ Bandcamp pages. Edition of 99. Ships out around September 18th.

All who own the original can simply re-download this title and the original files have been replaced.

Spectrescapes– digital only

Originally a bonus album with the deluxe edition of “Ghost Logik”, Spectrescapes is now available on its own on Edward Ka-Spel’s Bandcamp page.

Caste O’ Graye Skreeëns– digital only

First released in 2001 on World Serpent records, this 2023 remaster splits “Our Captain’s Eyes” into 5 sections. This digital remaster and the original 2001 CD are available on both Edward Ka-Spel’s and The Legendary Pink Dots’ Bandcamp pages.

Bandcamp Friday on the first day of September and an uncharacteristically quiet one for The Legendary Pink Dots. New releases are in the pipeline but we’re keen to give them their own special space. Even so, for this September BC Friday we are preparing a few extra copies of the 4 x CD-R complete version of ‘Chemical Playschool 3/4’ following many requests. The last copies of the coloured vinyl versions of ‘The Concrete Diaries’ are also being posted today.
